Trace minerals in water?

Have you been taking your trace minerals lately? Recently my partner, Mike Robinson met with Dr. Darrin Starkey who did an experiment, (which I got to watch via a CD) and it just blew me away. I knew trace minerals were a good idea for us as humans to consume as it is nearly impossible to eat all the required nutrients to maintain our healthy bodies. Did you know that it is estimated that some 90% of us suffer from a mineral deficiency or imbalance. Not a surprise – look at all the disease that plaques us, especially in the western culture.

To make a long story short – eating a balanced diet to get an adequate supply of fruits and vegetables (not to mention getting the children to partake) is a thing of the past – According to Dr. Starkey and www.traceminerals.com, it is said that in today’s world, naturally occurring, nutrient-rich foods are becoming a thing of the past. Eons of vegetation growth and aggressive modern farming techniques have brought many of the earth’s minerals to the surface where they have been washed away to the oceans.

The experiment? Dr. Starkey put an open electrical circuit in a vile of trace minerals (trace minerals found in the salt water seas) and the light bulb it was connected to lit up brilliantly. This active and essential product must be consumed to keep our body alive, healthy and replenished.

Questions? I had many too! For answers, visit this site.  I consume 40 drops a day, mixed with my two liters of water to make sure I am getting an ample supply of what my body needs. Want to hear the best part? My children watched the CD and are also taking the drops because they too see the value of trace minerals! Yeah! I am thankful to Mike for being in the health and nutrition business and for sharing such valuable information with us.

Mindful Voice – I am open to new ideas and love sit ups!

The Secret Language of Feelings

Recently I was turned onto a book called, The Secret Language of Feelings by Calvin D. Banyan. The whole curiousness I have had around why I feel this way or that, or why I beat myself up when I feel scared, frustrated, inadequate, guilty or sad was satisfied. secret feelings coaching banyan emotionsFeelings that have held me back were clearly explained and a process was outlined which I could implement immediately about how to start acknowledging my feelings now. I picked up this book used at Amazon for $12.98.

The first thing that I learned is that all feelings are good. We only feel bad when we don’t take the time to understand the feelings that vibrate within us. The book explains each feeling, gives them names and a clear concise way to deal with our feelings logically, quickly and efficiently so that we can quickly move on. One little issue that may arise during the day may send a ripple of fear through me, halting me in my tracks and debilitating me for hours or days, or in the past, for years. Once you hear the words in the book and understand that our feelings are our built-in guidance system, nature’s way of letting us know which of our needs aren’t being fulfilled and creating a motivation to take an action to do something, you begin to be grateful for the not so good feelings. Feelings left ignored, give free rein to frustration, stress and eventually depression.

The author gives us three step process to coach ourselves.

  1. Identify/name the feeling.
  2. Identify the cause of the feeling. What is the unfilled need, want or desire.
  3. Identify a satisfying response, that is, an action that fulfills the need want to desire.

Pick up the book or email me at sheryl@womencelebrations.com an I will coach you through a feeling that is holding you back. Just tell me what is going on in a few sentences. Describe the feeling the best you can and name the cause of this feeling.

Celebrate Good Times…c’mon!

What a spectacular 4th of JULY celebration this 2007! It was a real
CELEBRATION here in Jacksonville, Florida as so many people were out and about. Last week I tried my hand at making a few red, white and blue hula hoops for the celebration in anticipation for the new creation of our CIRCLE OF POWER HOOPS that we are making for our LOOPS. The red, white and blue hoops turned out beautiful and they were fun too. I learned a few tricks of which I searched out on YouTube. The basics of raising the tube over head and back down again… and around the knees and behind the back were actually pretty easy. The new OPRAH magazine had a great tip for me as I headed out on July 4th fireworks and to the Jacksonville Landing to share my new talent…the story line was this; Be AUDACIOUS! What the heck!…people love to see you being you and having fun. Others flock to you when you are being your true authentic self. So I was a hooping maniac and others loved to watch and try. FUN! Let’s hear about your 4th.
